Carolina Rodríguez (Psychology undergraduate, Spain)
Carolina Rodríguez lived part of her life in Argentina where she developed and worked on social and community projects with people living in poverty and indigenous people. It was in Argentina where her first daughter Gara was born, dying shortly after.
Since then, her work has been focused on accompanying families who are going through a process of perinatal grief, this in turn motivated her to pursue a psychology degree which she is currently finalizing. She is the chair of Cometa Association, which she recently founded with other mothers. The aim of Cometa is to continue to promote improvements in care for grieving families in the Canary Islands.
Currently she facilitates the perinatal mutual support group of Tenerife, provides individual support to mothers and their partners and is a collaborating member of the Red el Hueco de mi Vientre.
